SaaS Management Software That Starts From One Statement Export
SassList is SaaS management software that starts from the one file every company already has: the export of a corporate card or bank statement. Drop the file, and about a minute later you hold a complete list of every software subscription the company pays for, with annual cost, billing cycle and predicted renewal date.
Step 1, export the statement
Download a CSV, XLSX or PDF export from your corporate card, bank account or expense tool. Most finance teams already pull this file every month for the books, so nothing new has to be set up. You can also paste transaction lines straight into the box if you only have a few rows.
Choose the statement currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD or AUD) and your company size. The size is used only to show software cost per head.
Step 2, the file is read in your browser
The statement is parsed on your own device. SassList reads each row, strips card prefixes and reference numbers from the billing descriptor and keeps only the cleaned descriptor, the amount and the date. The file itself never leaves your computer.
Step 3, vendors are recognized
Each descriptor is matched against a built-in dictionary of about 600 SaaS vendors, with the vendor name, category, website and typical billing cycle. Descriptors that look like software but are not in the dictionary are classified from the descriptor text alone. Nothing else from your statement is used for that.
Step 4, charges become a list
Recurring charges are grouped by vendor. The cycle (monthly, quarterly or annual) is inferred from the gap between charges, and the next renewal is predicted from the last charge plus that cycle. Categories that hold two or more vendors are flagged as duplicates.
A SaaS list you can act on
Every row shows the vendor, category, monthly cost, annual cost, billing cycle, last charge and predicted renewal date. The header shows total annual SaaS spend, the number of tools and the number of duplicate categories.
- Vendor, category and website for each tool
- Monthly and annual cost side by side
- Predicted renewal date for every subscription
- Duplicate categories marked, for example three video call tools
The anonymous preview in the hero shows the first 5 tools in full. Create an account to see every row, export the list and open the renewal calendar. See subscription management software for the complete picture of what the list holds.
Renewal alerts before the money moves
SassList emails you 30, 14 and 7 days before each predicted renewal, so a tool nobody uses can be cancelled before the next charge. Read more about SaaS contract management and how the alert schedule works.
No integration project
There is no bank login, no card migration and no connection to your identity provider on the way in. The first list comes from one export, which is why it takes about a minute and not a quarter. Enterprise platforms ask for single sign-on and finance integrations before they show anything. SassList shows the list first.
Built for the person who owns the budget
Finance and IT teams can run the import themselves, without a procurement team and without a rollout plan. When you want to keep the list current, import the next statement and the list updates. Details on what is stored are on the SaaS data security page, and the plans are on the SaaS management tools page.
