Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data SassList collects, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated October 27, 2026. The service at sasslist.com is run by the operator of sasslist.com, referred to here as "we".
Statement imports
When you import a statement, the file is read in your browser and is not uploaded. The cleaned billing descriptors, amounts and dates are used to build your list. For a descriptor we cannot recognize from our built-in dictionary, only the descriptor text is sent to be classified. We do not ask for bank logins, card numbers or account numbers.
Account data
We collect your email address, the code used to confirm it, and the plan and billing period you choose. If you add owners, notes, seat counts or contract dates to a tool, we store those too.
Usage and technical data
We keep basic technical records such as the pages you visit, your browser type and the approximate time of requests. We use them to keep the service working, prevent abuse and enforce usage limits. Limits on descriptor lookups per day are applied using your network address.
Payments
Payment is handled by a payment provider. We do not store full card numbers. We receive confirmation of payment, the plan and the billing period.
Purposes
We use data to build and show your SaaS list, send renewal alerts and the weekly digest, apply your plan limits, answer your messages to [email protected], and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data and we do not use your statements to advertise to you.
We email you about your account, your renewal alerts and the next steps for your list. You can unsubscribe from the weekly digest at any time. Alerts you set up for renewals continue until you turn them off.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run SassList, such as hosting, email delivery and payment processing, and only as needed for those tasks. We may disclose data when the law requires it.
How long we keep data
Your saved list and account data are kept while your subscription is active. When you close your account, we delete your list, notes and account data. Raw statement files are not retained because they are not uploaded. Records needed for billing are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data by writing to [email protected]. We confirm by email when the request is complete. You can also delete tools from your list at any time.
Cookies
We use cookies needed to keep your session and to remember choices such as the yearly or monthly price view. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
Security
We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect data. You can read more on the SaaS data security page. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection.
Updates
We may update this policy, and the date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes are announced by email to account holders.
Children
SassList is a business service and is not meant for people under 18.
