SaaS Contract Management for Every Renewal and Notice Period
SaaS contract management starts with knowing which contracts exist and when each one renews. SassList reads your card or bank statement export, builds the list of software subscriptions, predicts every renewal date and emails you 30, 14 and 7 days before each one, so cancellations happen before the charge, not after it.
One renewal calendar for every software contract
Most software contracts renew on their own. The date sits in an order form, an email receipt or the memory of someone who left two quarters ago. SassList puts every renewal on one calendar, built from what your company was actually charged. Each tool in the SaaS subscription management list carries a vendor, a billing cycle, the last charge and a predicted next renewal. Monthly tools renew a month after the last charge, annual tools a year after it, and the calendar shows the full year so a large annual renewal in month nine is visible in month one. On Starter, the renewal calendar and a weekly email digest are included. On Team, you add the contract end date for tools where the paper date differs from the billing date, and the calendar uses it.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual cycles on one view
- Last charge and predicted next renewal per tool
- Contract end date overrides the prediction when you set it
Notice periods that do not catch you out
Many annual contracts need written notice 30, 60 or 90 days before the end date. Miss that window and the contract renews for another full term at the current price, often with an uplift. Add the notice period to a tool and SassList counts back from the contract end date, so the real deadline is on the calendar, not just the renewal itself. A tool that renews on December 1 with a 60 day notice period shows a decision date of October 2. Notes on each tool keep the clause wording, the contact at the vendor and the reason you chose to keep or cancel, so the next person reviewing the contract starts with context.
Alerts 30, 14 and 7 days before each renewal
Every plan sends renewal alerts by email 30, 14 and 7 days before each predicted renewal. The first alert is the time to decide, the second is the time to act, and the last is the final reminder before the charge lands. Each alert names the tool, the amount, the renewal date and the owner, so the person who reads it knows what to do without opening a spreadsheet. Team plans assign an owner per tool, which keeps alerts with the person who uses the software.
- 30 days: decide whether the tool stays
- 14 days: cancel, downgrade or renegotiate
- 7 days: last reminder before the charge
See the cost of what is about to renew
A renewal list is more useful when it shows money. The upcoming renewals view sums the annual cost of everything renewing in the next 30, 60 and 90 days, so finance sees the cash impact of the quarter ahead. For the full picture of spend by vendor and category, see software spend management. To check seats before a renewal, use software license management, where cost per seat shows what an unused license really costs. The first list comes from one file. Read how in how it works, or compare plans on the pricing page.
How does SassList know when a contract renews?
It reads the dates and amounts in your statement export, detects the billing cycle and predicts the next renewal. You can set the contract end date and notice period on any tool, and the calendar uses your date instead of the prediction.
When are renewal alerts sent?
Alerts go out by email 30, 14 and 7 days before each predicted renewal on every plan.
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No. You upload a CSV, XLSX or PDF export, and the statement is read in your browser. See the security page for what is sent.
